Chair-o-Planes
Built in the 1920s, our traditional Chair-o-Planes are still popular with both adults and children.
Purchased by Allan Downs Snr in the late 1940s, the ride was managed and subsequently owned by Allan Jnr, who made many improvements during his long ownership, including a complete redecoration of the ride in the 1970s, undertaken by the well known and very talented Fairground artist Neddy Matthews. The ride was placed in storage in the late 1980s and subsequently sold, it remained in storage until December 2017 when purchased back by us.
The Chair-O-Planes are presented to the highest standard and are available to Hire or to attend any kind of public event.
Straps are provided on all of the chairs so that it is safe for small children to ride.
A 55ft diameter clear area is required, and on a site as level as possible, is required to operate the Chair-o-Planes. Lorry access is required to the site to position the ride.
The Chair-o-Planes are inspected annually by independent engineers and carries its own public liability as standard.
