About Us...
The Downs Traditional Funfair was established by Allan Downs Snr in 1935 (Although our involvement with fairgrounds began in the 1850s). Our fairground has grown considerably in size as the years have passed, we pride ourselves in providing the very best in traditional entertainment for whatever occasion, be it public or private events.Our rides and attractions are renowned for their standard of presentation and appeal.
Although made many years ago, continuous work and maintenance keeps them up to modern safety standards, so that they may be enjoyed for generations to come.
Our attractions are available to attend any kind of public event and can be found at music festivals, country shows, steam rallies and fairs. They can also be hired for private events such as weddings, television and film work and corporate parties. Fully trained, friendly, uniformed staff are provided with each attraction as standard.
We can provide rides and attractions individually or as a complete fairground, the possibilities are endless as we allow the client to pick any combination of rides and attractions to suit their needs and requirements.
